Vegas, baby! Vegas!

We finally made it West of Iowa! With a lot of milestones in the first 6 months of this year, one of them being our wedding Anniversary, we decided a little adult getaway was in order. So off to Vegas we went. It was in the upper 50s, bright and sunny. We stayed in the breathtaking Bellagio, and were wowed by Cirque Du Soleil's Zumanity. It was so gorgeous outside that we spent a lot of time walking the Strip and people-watching. Here's a little glimpse:

Las Vegas Airport
Step off the plane, and walk right into slot machines.
Bellagio

Pedestrian Bridge, one of many. The only way to cross the Strip, and they're cleverly connected to hotels.
Leave it to us to find a Bond bar. Cosmopolitan – definitely worth at least a visit. Very posh and modern.

Oh the shopping, the shopping!

Inside Crystals. Who needs gambling when there is this wonderful place to blow your money in?!
This is as close as I will ever get to Fendi's Karlito. Thank you x20 zoom lens!
A great place for lunch and drinks.
Those brown things on the horizon? Mountains! Something we never see at home, sadly.
Waiting for the tram. It goes from Bellagio to Monte Carlo with stops to other MGM properties along the way.
Paris Hotel, viewed from Bellagio side.
Luxor's beam of light behind Cosmopolitan and Aria.
New York New York

Ceasars Palace. Absolutely huge!
6 AM view, that's when the Strip finally goes to sleep.
Flight: Southwest. One knew it was a Vegas flight by group of 20-something males talking about hitting the strip clubs and getting hookers while waiting to board. Then they ordered double vodka Bloody Marys as soon as the seatbelt sign went off.

Hotel: Bellagio. Five Star service, hands down.
